History Society

The Hayscastle History Society meets bimonthly at 7.30pm, in The Cross Inn. Next meeting is on the 21st January 2015

The History Group is always looking for information and documents about Hayscastle and those who have lived in it over the years. The picture above shows a typical In Memoriam booklet from the early part of the last century and which was found in a barn in the village. Have you found anything that might be of interest and which can be added to the village archive?

The local history group continue to meet every two months at the Community Centre. If you would like to find out more about the group then please come along and meet us. We are a friendly group with both young and older members and the only requirement is to have an interest in local history.

Local Historical Records

The Group are transcribing the Parish Church Registers and the Censuses.
