On Monday 10th June the Grasshoppers Club celebrated their 10th anniversary. Tea, cakes and strawberries were enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Baster who established the club in June 2012 and have been running the fun educational sessions and craft activities ever since.
On Sunday 5th June a BBQ and activities were held at the community centre and woodland to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. Despite the weather, a large number of residents attended and participated in the activities provided by Hayscastle Community Forum.
There were a number of lovely puddings entered into the Pudding fit for a Queen competition which everyone was able to taste and enjoy. The winner was Helen Roberts with her strawberry cheesecake.
There was a very impressive display of memorabilia from previous jubilee celebrations. Thank you to everyone who brought items to be displayed.
